Shiva Treks & Shiva Holidays, commences the
year 2000 with more than 20 years of experience behind it. There
was much learned in those years. However, of paramount
importance was finding a healthy balance between sustaining the
fragile eco-system of those countries in which we operate,
whilst continuing to welcome their many visitors.
The principles on which Shiva Treks & Shiva
Holidays are founded are simple yet form the backbone of its
many successful endeavors. They are Safety, Hygiene &
Environment protection.
Years ago, founded this company, seeing the
real need and potential for an organisation that could provide
top quality tours and travel arrangements for the inbound
visitor to Nepal and its neighbour countries. From the start our
philosophy has been that high-quality does not belong
exclusively to the top-end luxury travel sector. It belongs
equally well to the cost-conscious traveller and to anyone
seeking the real difference that our region can offer. Now
evolved into a well-respected concern, both in Nepal and
abroad.The aim is to provide visitors with very kind of viable
adventure that the Himalayas can possibly offer.
We started with cultural tours and our
ability to adapt our itineraries and arrangements to a wide
variety of special interest groups. We grew slowly and
carefully, building a reputation and gaining many lifelong
friends in the process. You may never have heard of us, but if
you are from western Europe, North America or Australasia - we
are the Himalayan region suppliers, ground handlers and
outfitters for many of the well known adventure and specialised
travel companies at home.
Today our main offices, operations base and
stores, in Kathmandu's Embassy district, are staffed by 40+
trained specialists and support people. Between them they can
speak and conduct business in several foreign languages. We have
many regional support and tour staff, each specialists in their
own field.
We have outlined the countries in which we
operate, and a synopsis of what Shiva Treks and Tours can offer.
Further information on any aspect, idea or activity is just a
phone call or fax away (from the US and Germany you only need to
fax to a domestic number to reach us directly here in Kathmandu).
Time zone differences allowing, we can usually respond to your
e-mail or fax queries immediately - at the latest overnight.
We are a young, fast growing company
interested in all facets of travel trade and hence, are ever
adapting to new ideas. We value change so long as it allows us
to accommodate the growing needs for more exciting adventures.
All this and more we strive to do, yet never compromising on
quality. We look to build programs that will include every kind
of traveler or adventurer. So we have holidays for juniors and
seniors; beginners and professionals; day trippers and thrill
seekers; Dionysian's and ascetics - we endeavor to do it all in
the best possible way. In Nepal our knowledge and experience
makes us reliable and trusty partners. On an adventure with us
there will be plenty of all that is good and desirable:
magnificent scenery, excellent equipment, knowledgeable guides,
delectable food, sturdy vehicles, maximum safety, clean environs
and cheerful dispositions.
